The Wildlife Action Group is a nature conservation organization founded in Malawi in 1994 . It is committed to nature , animal , landscape , environmental and resource protection and the improvement of the living conditions of the people who live in and around natural areas in need of protection in Africa.

Since it was founded, the organization has been involved in many projects of governmental and non-governmental organizations in an advisory capacity or as an executive.

In 1996 the Wildlife Action Group and the Malawian Forest Authority started a new protection and rehabilitation program in the 19,000 hectare Thuma Forest Reserve, primarily with the aim of protecting the last elephants and their habitat in this part of the African rift valley.

In 1998 the Wildlife Action Group established a wildlife orphanage and successfully carried out reintroduction measures for former zoo and wild animals that grew up or were kept in captivity. In 2002, a hippo protection project was planned and set up as an income-generating measure at Lake Malawi.

The focus of all project measures is primarily income-generating measures and the creation of jobs for the local rural population around the project areas.

In 2007 the Wildlife Action Group International eV was founded, which is based in Germany and plans, manages, advises and finances projects in developing countries with a focus on Africa.
