Wilfried Bergholz (* 1953 in Greifswald ) is a German journalist, child psychologist and writer.

Life

After graduating from high school and serving in the army, Wilfried Bergholz worked as an editorial assistant at DT64 (youth radio) from 1975 , and later freelance journalist for the magazines "Elternhaus und Schule", "Unterhaltungskunst" and "Sonntag". From 1978 to 1983 he studied clinical psychology with Hans-Dieter Schmidt at the HU Berlin .

Bergholz began to write his first prose texts in the mid-1980s, which he himself published in 1987 under the title "Umsturz im Kopf". He organized readings and moderated performances by well-known writers and songwriters from the GDR.

In 1987 he founded the children's music theater Ulf und Zwulf together with Ulf Erdmann and Ralf Kleinschmidt , for which he wrote almost all texts and some compositions until 2002 - 12 LPs / CDs. The first LP "City Adventure" was named "Best Children's Songs LP of the Year" by a children's jury in 1988. The publications of this time include radio plays, texts for the punk band “Die Komischen Vögel”, the theater project “Der Mann im Kasten”, the children's book “Das Grüne Versteck” and the non-fiction book “Lieder People” (together with Petra Schwarz).

From 1989 Wilfried Bergholz was a student at the "Johannes R. Becher" literature institute in Leipzig, where he took part in the Monday demonstrations and later in the revolutionary events in Berlin's Gethsemane Church.

From 1990 he wrote numerous scripts for children's films for the DFF ( German TV broadcaster ). The SFB sent at the beginning of the 1990s, three prose texts in the literature show "passages" and four stories in the series "Ohrenbär".

In 1991, together with Gerhard Kampf, Jürgen Hagen and others, he founded the Media online Children's Show GmbH to support the children's song scene in the GDR after the end of the VEB Deutsche Schallplatten (Amiga). The children's show also ran the "Theater des Ostens" (TdO) in Karlshorst. Bergholz was managing director for the Kinderwelt label until 2001 . Sales partners for the catalog (Reinhard Lakomy, Veronika Fischer, Rumpelstil group and others) were: Jumbo Neue Medien, Polydor, Ravensburger - currently Sony BMG. His production “Gerhard Schöne singt Kindergedichte” was awarded the 2003 “Leopold” media prize.

The autobiography “The last ride by bike - 19 conversations with Matteo about courage, luck and rebellion in the GDR” is considered the main literary work today. The objective and politically sound report of a contemporary witness was recommended as an optional literature for upper secondary level. “A person tells what he has experienced, honestly, tolerantly, strictly on reality. The book is reminiscent of the novel »Rohstoff« by Jörg Fauser, who wrote in a similar way about his life, politics and people. "

In 2001 Bergholz opened the Crussow special airfield for microlight aircraft near Angermünde and has also been working as a pilot and aerial photographer since then. In 2012 he completed the aviation information center in Gellmersdorf (FIZ) as a homage to the first German jet aircraft for passengers Baade 152 - a color scheme on a 1: 1 scale with an original part of the fuselage of the 008 series machine in the exhibition in the building.

From 2002 Wilfried Bergholz worked as a child psychologist in the districts of Uckermark and Märkisch-Oderland. He has been writing again since 2013. He lives in Berlin and has four children.
