Ulf and Zwulf
Ulf and Zwulf were a German artist duo, consisting of Ulf Erdmann and Ralf Kleinschmidt . From 1986 to 2016 the duo performed as a children's music theater and released several long-playing records and CDs with children's songs. Both artists have been performing solo with their songs since 2016.
Children's music duo
In the evening greeting Sandmännchens the GDR television of 30 September 1988 were Erdmann and Kleinschmidt first time as a duo Ulf and Zwulf on. By 1991 about 20 episodes of her Pictures of a City had been broadcast. In the episodes, the brothers Ulf and Zwulf always met first in a children's playground and sang and presented children's songs, which were intended to bring the viewers closer to everyday situations of city life. Pictures of a city was not positively received by all viewers of the Sandman, as it took the place of the popular series Liederspielplatz , the Friday evening greeting.
Ulf and Zwulf were musicians with various stage programs for children. Together with the children's channel , they were on tour with the shows The Surprise Evening Greetings with the Sandman (2005 to 2010), Bummi Has Birthday (2007) and the Sandman Participation Show (since 2011). In addition to the shows, Ulf and Zwulf produced more than ten music albums and three musicals (for example, The Unheimliche Gast im Drachenland ).
Ulf Erdmann
Erdmann was born in Rüdersdorf near Berlin in 1957 . He worked as a set builder at the Berlin State Opera and studied at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin-Mitte . Erdmann calls himself Ulf the minstrel . In addition to the Ulf and Zwulf project, he is on the road as a soloist. So far he has published several CDs for children (for example, hands-on and movement songs , sleep and cuddle songs and everything in motion ) and wrote the children's book Dackel Düsenfuß und seine Freunde .
Ralf Kleinschmidt
Kleinschmidt first completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith before he was trained as a band singer at the Friedrichshain Music School in Berlin. Kleinschmidt is also occasionally on the road as a soloist as a children's music theater in Zwulf . He released several children's song CDs. ( Schlafmützchen songs by Zwulf , play and movement songs , etc.). Since 2012 he has been on stage with Daniella Erdmann in several programs as Zwulf and Zwusel .
Ulf & Zwulf song book
For the 30th anniversary of the first LP City Adventure , the Ulf & Zwulf children's song book Thousand Small Windows was published in November 2018 . The book contains 115 texts by the long-time author Wilfried Bergholz . It also contains ten songs with musical notation, and there is also a CD of the same name.
