history

In 1985 archaeological excavations revealed a late Slavic settlement whose name was not handed down on the Klebe field , whereby a small silver cross pendant with a depiction of Christ was recovered as a special find. However, the settlement fell very early, probably before the 13th century. Even if there is no documentary evidence, it can be assumed that the Plau parish was endowed with the field mark (27  Hufen according to the visitation report of 1534) when it was founded. By 1320 at the latest, the Feldmark belonged to the “St. Catharinae et Urbani ”.

The Feldmark was leased to the Plau citizens until the 18th century, then from 1767 to 1814 to the ducal domanium. After a survey in 1814, it was leased again to the citizens of Plau for 20 years. After its expiry, a new lease contract was concluded with Ludwig Fick on Lexow in 1834 , who undertook to build a leasehold. After several changes of tenants, in 1937 the widow Wittkopf released the lease agreement for 37,000 gold marks for herself and her heirs. In 1945 the leasehold was expropriated and divided among new farmers as part of the land reform . A machine lending station (MAS) was set up on the lease in 1949 , and since 1952 a machine-tractor station (MTS), which was continued from 1964 to 1990 as a district operation for agricultural technology (KfL Klebe). Today several companies are based on the site.
