Wilfried Lorenz (sailor)
Wilfried Lorenz (born January 18, 1932 in Rostock ) is a former German sailor .
Lorenz started for the SC Empor Rostock . Together with Peter Ahrendt and Ulrich Mense , Lorenz won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 in the dragon boat class . His team was 28 points behind the Olympic champions from Denmark. For winning the silver medal, he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
