The under monument protection standing Wilhelm gallery is in downtown of Baden-Württemberg town of Ludwigsburg in the vast field of Wilhelm, Hospital-, grain and Asperger road.

history

The building, first mentioned in 1856 as Ulanenkaserne , has been expanded several times; the last major construction measure is documented in 1915 and thus replaced several barracks and warehouse buildings that had already existed at this point. The elongated, three-storey solid structure was partly built from sandstones . The building is still adorned with corner risers .

Todays use

Today the Wilhelm-Galerie is a shopping center. The building, which is criss-crossed by an elongated skylight , includes pharmacies, clothing stores and restaurants.
