Wilhelm Klemm Prize
The Wilhelm-Klemm-Prize is a chemistry prize that has been awarded by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) since 1984 primarily for achievements in inorganic chemistry . It is reminiscent of the important inorganic chemist Wilhelm Klemm , who worked in Münster for a long time and was also known internationally. The award was donated by Degussa AG.
The prize consists of a gold coin, a certificate and an amount of money. The elements that preoccupied Klemm the most are engraved in the gold coin. It is usually awarded every two years. Financing has been provided since 1996 from a special fund at the GDCh.
