Wilhelm Bertelsmann (politician)

Friedrich Wilhelm Bertelsmann (born March 16, 1796 in Bielefeld ; † June 30, 1875 there ) was a German businessman and politician.

Bertelsmann, who was a Protestant denomination, was a linen wholesaler in Bielefeld. In terms of local politics, he was an alderman and city councilor in his hometown. From 1865 to 1868 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia for the electoral district of Minden-Ravensburg and the city of Bielefeld .
