Wilhelm Hagemann (media educator)

Wilhelm (also "Willi") Hagemann (born February 13, 1939 in Vörden ) is a German professor emeritus for media education in Paderborn .

Live and act

Wilhelm Hagemann was born in Marienmünster-Vörden (East Westphalia) in 1939. He attended the local elementary school and learned the trade of heating and ventilation engineer. On the second path of education, he obtained his Abitur in Cologne in 1962. This was followed by studies for teaching at vocational schools at the Technical University in Aachen, which he completed with the first and second state examinations. After working as a research assistant at universities in Aachen, Vienna and Klagenfurt in 1972 doctorate as Dr. phil in Aachen with a media pedagogical topic [1972]. From 1973 to 1980 Wilhelm Hagemann worked at the Research and Development Center of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia for Objectified Teaching and Learning (FEoLL) in Paderborn, most recently as head of the Institute for Media Network / Media Didactics. This work also included considerations on socio-moral education through and with the media [1982, 1985]. In 1980 he was appointed professor for media and professional education at the University of Paderborn. In addition to media-specific topics [1978, 1979, 1983, 1996], Wilhelm Hagemann devoted himself to promoting disadvantaged young people in vocational training in several pilot projects. Wilhelm Hagemann has also written historical works on his place of birth Vörden and his place of residence Bad Lippspringe [1995, 1997, 2008].
