Hettfleisch was a goalkeeper for FC Bayern Munich for the 1949/50 season and played four point games in the Oberliga Süd , the highest German division at the time. He made his debut on September 3, 1949 (1st matchday) in the 2: 3 defeat in the home game against SpVgg Fürth . His last three league games from the fourth to the sixth game day were not crowned with success; He and his team lost 2-1 at VfB Mühlburg on October 9 , played a 2-2 draw against VfB Stuttgart on October 16 in the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse and lost 2-0 at BC Augsburg on October 23 .
