Wilhelm Kahmann

Wilhelm Kahmann (born January 7, 1893 , † July 27, 1963 ) was a German journalist, publisher and local politician.

Career

Kahmann submitted his doctoral thesis in 1922 at the Economics and Social Sciences Faculty of the University of Cologne. He became the political editor of the Rhein- und Wied-Zeitung, founded by Eduard Verhülsdonk , and after he gave up, he continued to run the newspaper with the help of political and spiritual friends until the end of 1937. After the end of the Second World War he was a co-founder of the Christian Democratic Party and from 1949 to 1961 chairman of the CDU district association Neuwied .
