Wilhelm Krüger (politician, 1889)

Wilhelm Erich Krüger (born November 8, 1889 in Landsberg an der Warthe , † 1953 in Eichwalde near Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Krüger completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter. He initially worked in the profession he had learned and was then employed by a health insurance company until 1917. From March 1917 to February 1919 he worked as an employee at the German Woodworkers Association .

Krüger joined the SPD, acted from March to December 1919 as party secretary for the SPD district of West Prussia and from January 1920 to 1933 as party secretary for the SPD district of Brandenburg and Grenzmark Posen-West Prussia . From 1922 to 1933 he was a member of the central party committee of the Social Democrats. He was a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Free City of Danzig and was elected as a member of the Prussian Landtag in 1924 , to which he belonged until 1933.

After the Second World War , Krüger initially lived in Berlin. In March 1950 he moved to Eichwalde .
