Wilhelm Ludwig (lawyer)
Wilhelm Ludwig (born October 11, 1901 in Hamburg , † after 1954) was a German lawyer.
After attending school, Ludwig studied law . After passing the Great State Examination on March 15, 1929, he was appointed court assessor and on December 1, 1932, public prosecutor in the Berlin I district court.
After the establishment of the Secret State Police Office , Ludwig was appointed head of its Department IX (riots, assassinations, foreigners, emigrants, Jews, Freemasons). Among other things, he was responsible for the first Jewish department within the National Socialist state police apparatus. From 1934 Ludwig worked for the research office and for the intelligence service.
On November 1, 1939, Ludwig became a senior public prosecutor at the public prosecutor's office in the Prague district court .
After the war, Ludwig worked for the Stuttgart public prosecutor. Since 1954, Ludwig worked in Cologne as a senior government director at the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution as head of the secret protection department.
