Wilhelm Maibaum

Wilhelm Maibaum (born July 8, 1919 in Ennigerloh ; † July 14, 1994 in Neustadt in Holstein ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Maibaum completed an apprenticeship as a butcher, which he completed with a journeyman's examination. He did Reich labor service from April to October 1937 , was then drafted into the Wehrmacht , and from 1939 to 1945 took part in the Second World War as a soldier , most recently as a lieutenant. From 1946 he was employed by the upholstered furniture factory Preckel & Woldermann in Ennigerloh and in 1950 he became an employee of the company.

Maibaum joined the SPD in 1946. From 1952 he was a council member of the Ennigerloh community and was elected to the Beckum district council in 1956 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from May 22, 1963, when he replaced the deceased member of parliament Karl-Heinz Lünenstrasse , until 1972. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia .

Maibaum served from 1956 to 1961 and from 1964 as the deputy mayor of the municipality of Ennigerloh.
