Wilhelm Polthier
Wilhelm Polthier (born March 15, 1892 in Wittstock / Dosse , † April 1, 1961 in Berlin ) was a German librarian and historian.
Career
Polthier studied history, German and art history and received his doctorate in 1918 at the University of Greifswald . During his studies he became a member of the Association of German Students in Greifswald . He was a library councilor in Greifswald, Königsberg i. Pr. And Berlin active.
His extensive research in the field of Brandenburg local history and genealogy formed the basis for building up the local history and genealogy collection in the Berlin State Library .
