Wilhelm Schwendemann

Wilhelm Schwendemann (* 1958 ) is a German religious educator.

Life

Wilhelm Schwendemann has been Professor of Protestant Theology , Religious and School Education at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Freiburg since 1995 . After studying Protestant theology, philosophy , Jewish studies and the sociology of religion , he was ordained pastor of the Evangelical Church in Baden . He received his doctorate with a study on the epistemological and anthropological function of the Platonic mind-body dualism in Calvin's theology . In 1999 he was awarded the State Teaching Prize by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research and Art . He is committed u. a. in the Freiburg Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation.
