Wilkins is an impact crater on the front of the moon west of the Mare Nectaris , between the craters Pontanus in the west and Rothmann in the east. The rim of the crater is very badly eroded, the interior largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1961 after the Welsh engineer and amateur astronomer Hugh Percy Wilkins .
