Willi Brockmann
Willi Paul Ferdinand Brockmann (born June 21, 1924 in Berlin ; † August 6, 2001 in Hamburg ) was a German engineer .
Life
As an employee of Blohm + Voss, Willi Brockmann played a key role in the invention and development of suspended decks . In the timeline from Blohm + Voss for 1958 it says: "Construction of a suspended deck system which will be delivered for 250 ships in the following years." A corresponding patent no. 1176511 was applied for at the German Patent Office on August 5, 1960 and issued on August 20, 1964.
In the 1990s he developed the so-called Brockmann formula for evaluating ships.
