Willi Krauss
Willi Krauss (born December 25, 1935 - † June 4, 2013 in Rheinbach ) was a German rear admiral .
Life
After graduating from Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Gymnasium and two semesters of law at Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität , he joined the Navy in 1957. Following his officer training, he became an officer on watch and commander on a speedboat and then an instructor at the Mürwik naval school. From 1967 to 1969 he earned a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. This was followed by assignments in Wilhelmshaven (inter alia as a commander in command of naval command systems) and in Bonn (inter alia as head of department in the command staff of the armed forces). His last military assignment was at NATO Headquarters (SHAPE. Mons, Belgium) before becoming General Manager of the NATO Communications and Information Systems Agency in Brussels. After his professional career, Willi Krauss was chairman of AFCEA Bonn. He died in Rheinbach in 2013.
