Willi Müller (politician, September 1895)

Willi Müller (actually Wilhelm Müller * 20th September 1895 in Nippes ; † 19th August 1965 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

education and profession

Willi Müller attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a plumber. He then worked as a pipe fitter and oxy-fuel welder. From 1947 he worked as a foreman. He was a member of the metal workers' association from 1912.

politics

Willi Müller was a member of the SPD from 1918. He was a member of the works council from 1921 to 1933. From 1926 to 1933 he was a labor judge and member of the administrative committee of the Moers employment office. He was a council member of the city of Moers and a member of the Moers district assembly from 1932 to 1933. He became a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union (ÖTV) in 1946. From 1945 to 1952, Müller was again a council member and from 1946 to 1952 he was mayor of the City of Moers.

From July 13, 1954 to July 12, 1958, Willi Müller was a directly elected member of the 3rd state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 040 Moers-Süd.
