Willi Scharnhop

Willi Scharnhop (born December 25, 1904 in Bohndorf , Uelzen district , † June 1968 ) was a German farmer and politician ( DP , CDU ).

Life

Scharnhop was the first-born son of the farmer Johann Wilhelm August Scharnhop (1874-1949) and his wife Anna Catharina Marie, née König (1878-1968), from Bostelwiebeck . In 1912 his brother Wilhelm Heinrich Albert Scharnhop was born. He attended the higher private school in Hermannsburg . After his father's death, he inherited his parents' farm in Bohndorf (today part of Altenmedingen ) in the Uelzen district, which has been in the possession of his family since 1648.

After the Second World War, Scharnhop joined the German Party (DP), for which he belonged to the district council of the Uelzen district from 1952. From 1953 to 1968 he was the district's honorary district administrator. In 1962 he became a member of the CDU.

Furthermore, Scharnhop was chairman of the Lower Saxony regional association in the federal association of former agricultural school students until March 1967 and was subsequently made an honorary member there.
