William Douglas, 10th Earl of Angus

William Douglas, 10th Earl of Angus (around 1552 - March 3, 1611 in Paris ) was a Scottish nobleman.
William was a son of William Douglas, 9th Earl of Angus , and his wife Egidia Graham. He followed his father in 1591 as Earl of Angus .
In 1592 the Earl was involved in the "Spanish Blanks" conspiracy, in which the Catholic peers attempted to forcibly recatholize Scotland with the help of the Spanish King Philip II . As a result, William lost all of his titles and goods and finally withdrew to the continent in 1608.
In 1585 he married Elizabeth, daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 4th Lord Oliphant, with whom he had the following children:

- Elizabeth, married John Campbell of Cawdor
- William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas
