William Pastore

William M. Pastore (* around 1949) was Chief Executive Officer of Monster Worldwide, Inc. from October 9, 2006 to April 2007 .

He graduated from Long Island University , where he earned his MBA majoring in Marketing and Finance . William Pastore began his career with almost 25 years of professional experience at Citibank . In December 1995 he became Senior Vice President at CIGNA HealthCare and from January 1999 to May 2002 he was President of the company. In September 2002, Pastore was a consultant for Monster. From October he was permanently employed by the company. His areas of activity included activities in North America, Asia and Europe. After Andrew McKelvey resigned as CEO of Monster Worldwide due to issues in the company's stock option program, Pastore followed him in October 2006. On April 12, 2007, the company announced the immediate resignation of Pastore as CEO. In order to give his successor Sal Iannuzzi sufficient training in the position, Pastore should stay with the company until July.
