William Sands

William Sands (born before 1950) is a film editor .

Life

Sands worked as an assistant editor in the 1950s. In 1968 he first worked as an independent editor for the film Funny Girl . Together with Maury Winetrobe and Robert Swink , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 1969 for this work . There was also a nomination for the Eddie Award of the American Cinema Editors .

Up to and including 1973 three more films followed, in which he was responsible for editing . He last appeared as an assistant editor in the 1981 film Wolfen .
