William Seagrove

William Raymond Seagrove ( July 2, 1898 - June 5, 1980 ) was a British middle and long distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in 1920 he was sixth over 5000 m with his personal best of 15: 21.0 min. In the team race over 3000 m he came in ninth place (taking into account the discarded results place 8) and won silver with the British team.

In the 3,000-meter team race at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, he came in 16th place as the sixth member of the British team. Although he had delivered a strike result, he was awarded the silver medal like the rest of the British team.

In 1924 he became English champion in the mile run with his personal best of 4: 21.2 minutes.
