William States Lee

William States Lee (born January 28, 1872 in Lancaster , South Carolina, † March 24, 1934 in Charlotte , North Carolina) was an American electrical engineer who teamed up with the tobacco magnate James Buchanan Duke and lived in Piedmont (South Carolina ) built a large hydroelectric power station. In addition to Vice President and Chief Engineer of Duke Power Co. , he was also President and Chief Engineer of the Piedmont and Northern Railway.
