William Stuart Long

William Stuart Long is a pseudonym of the British author Vivian Stuart (born January 2, 1914 in Great Britain, † August , 1986 ).

Using the pseudonym William Stuart Long, she wrote a popular historical series called "Australians" based on her research at the Mitchell Library in Sydney, the National Maritime Museum, the British Public Records Office and the New York Public Library. She has spent many years in Australia and is familiar with the country and its history. Her books were published by Dell Publishing in New York, the German translation initially by Goldmann Verlag in Munich and later by the Weltbild publishing group as paperbacks.
