William Tilbury Fox

William Tilbury Fox (* 1836 in Broughton , Hampshire , † June 7, 1879 in Paris ) was an English dermatologist.

Live and act

From 1853 Fox attended the medical school of the University College Hospital in London. In 1858 he received the title "Doctor of Medicine" (MD). His first job was that of a " interns (" house physician ")" in the University College Hospital on by William Jenner led station for skin diseases. He then worked in a maternity hospital in the London borough of Lambeth , as a general practitioner and as an obstetrician (physician-accoucheur) in the General Dispensary in Farringdon . In 1863 he decided to specialize in dermatology and associated himself with his brother Thomas Fox in a practice. In 1867 he took over the position of chief physician in the skin department of the University College Hospital in London.
