The Williams Bay is a sheltered bay in the southeast of McDonald Iceland in the southern Indian Ocean .
The bay is named after the biologist Richard Williams, who caught fish and other marine animals for study purposes from board the MV Cape Pillar during a 1980 campaign of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions .
