The Williams Point is a rocky headland , the northeastern end of Livingston Island in the archipelago of South Shetland Islands represents.
The British navigator and explorer William Smith mapped the Cape after his sighting of the South Shetland Islands on 19 February 1819. He named it after his brig Williams as Cape Williams . In later years the current name prevailed.
