Willy Fueter

Willy Fueter (pronounced [fuətər] ; born August 11, 1909 in Bern ; † October 26, 1962 there ) was a Swiss actor .

Career

Willy Fueter attended business school in Lausanne and completed his studies as a political economist at the University of Bern . In order to continue his education in the textile industry, he deepened his knowledge in London, where he first came into contact with the theater scene. He took acting lessons in Salzburg and Berlin and made his debut in Bremen in 1939.

After the war, Willy Fueter took on the first film roles in British film. The death of his father led him to return to Switzerland and to take over his father's clothes shop in Bern. This was followed by other theater roles and participation in Swiss dialect films by Franz Schnyder and Kurt Früh . He also worked with Bernhard Wicki .

Willy Fueter married in 1959. He died of a heart attack.
