Wilma Dressel

Wilma Dressel (born August 29, 1983 ) is a former German rower .

Dressel began rowing in 1995. At the Junior World Championships in 2001 she won the bronze medal with eighth place .

In 2003 and 2005 she entered the rowing world cup in Munich with the eighth. At the 2005 World Cup regatta in Lucerne, the German four-man without helmsman with Christina Hennings , Wilma Dressel, Kerstin Naumann and Christiane Hölzel came second behind the Chinese. Six weeks later, the German four-man competed at the World Championships in Gifu with Mandy Emmrich instead of Christina Hennings. The German foursome won the silver medal behind the Australians and in front of the Belarusians. In 2006 Dressel won the World Cup in Lucerne with the German foursome, but did not take part in the World Championships.

Wilma Dressel rowed for the Hansa rowing club from 1898 in Dortmund.
