WinAVR

WinAVR is a distribution of the cross-compiler avr-gcc for use under Windows. The last release was on January 20, 2010 before the project was discontinued. A continuation of the project was announced in mid-2011. After the continuation, the last release took place on November 13, 2014.

In addition to the compiler for AVR - microcontroller included the distribution a complete GNU toolchain with binutils , AVR LibC, gdb , simulator, in-system programmer, make and more known in the Unix world tools and tools like find , grep , awk , sed etc. as well as the Scintilla- based programming editor Programmer's Notepad . Depending on the version, not only a C and C ++ compiler is included, but also a compiler for Objective-C and a complete AVR32 development environment.
