WinBIAP is a modular management software, internet catalog (OPAC) and internet portal software for public libraries , school libraries, mobile libraries, patient libraries, company and special libraries and media centers. Over 1000 libraries of the dbv sections 2, 3A, 6 and 8 use WinBIAP nationwide, for example the non-public special library of the police union GdP.

Manufacturer

The program was developed by datronic GmbH , which was founded in 1972 as a subsidiary of Paul Kieser Endlosdruck und Verlag , which emerged from E. Kieser KG in 1917 . In 1985 the company entered the market as a software provider for library systems. The owner-managed company is based in Augsburg.

description

WinBIAP is a modular library system , the modules include cataloging, acquisition, lending, configuration, administration and statistics. The import of pooled and external data of all library standard formats takes place directly in the catalog. Catalog data is imported via various interfaces, Z39.50 , web service and saved in MABII or MARC21 format. datronic provides the WebOPAC based on WordPress , with a specially developed B24 app, as a mobile version. A local installation is used as well as a cloud solution .

Composite solution

With RegioTHEK , WinBIAP maps a virtual library with real branches. The RegioThek is independent of the library software and supports libraries with different IT systems. For example, fifteen parishes in Lower Franconia are united in the bibliofranken association to form an online association.
