Roland Kadan

Roland Kadan (* 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian teacher and author .

Life

Roland Kadan attended elementary school and grammar school in the 18th district of Währing in Vienna . From 1979 to 1984 he studied Latin and Protestant theology for teaching at the University of Vienna . Kadan began working as a high school teacher in Vienna in 1984. From 1993 to 2004 he was chairman of the working group of Protestant religious teachers at AHS in Vienna and from 1999 to 2008 he was chairman of the working group of Protestant religious teachers at AHS in Austria .

Kadan received his doctorate in 1994 with Michaela Zelzer and Kurt Niederwimmer and became a lecturer at the Institute for Religious Education of the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Vienna . His research interests include besides methodology and music in class of non-violent resistance and the theology after Auschwitz . Kadan published numerous articles and songs in educational magazines. From 2004 to 2008 he was co-editor of the specialist journal Schulfach Religion . He wrote a songbook in Latin, translations from the Old Testament in Viennese and a collection of his own songs for religious instruction.

Roland Kadan is married and has three sons.
