The Pilsum wind farm is a wind farm near the East Frisian town of Pilsum . It consists of six wind turbines of the type Enercon E-40 / 5:40 . The operator of the systems is EWE AG .
history
The predecessor of today's Pilsum wind farm with ten Enercon E-32 wind turbines was inaugurated as early as 1989 . At that time it was the largest wind farm in Germany. In 2002 the wind farm was completely renewed through repowering . Despite a reduction from ten to six wind turbines, the total output remained the same. The investment costs amounted to 3.8 million euros.
Together with 29 other renewable energy systems throughout Germany, including 3 wind farms, the Pilsum wind farm was involved in the Combined Power Plant 1 project in 2007 , as part of which a virtual power plant from decentralized generation plants was successfully tested for full supply with renewable energies.
information
In addition to the six wind turbines with a total installed nominal output of 3 megawatts , there was an EWE information center in the Pilsum wind farm, where one could find out about the technology of the wind turbines in the park. The wind farm's annual electricity production is around 10,000 MWh .
