Grevenbroich wind test field

The Grevenbroich wind test field , also known as the Neurather Höhe wind test field , is a test field for inland wind turbines on the Neurather Höhe , a waste dump from lignite mining southwest of the Grevenbroich district of Neurath in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The field, which has existed since 1998, is the largest of its kind in the world. The operator is Windtest Grevenbroich GmbH . The test field also includes three wind measurement masts, two telescopic masts and one lattice mast.
