Winfried Hampel

Winfried Hampel (born August 31, 1935 in Dessau ; † June 15, 2010 in Berlin ) was a German chemist and politician ( LDPD , BFD , FDP , then CDU ). He was a member of the (East) Berlin city council in 1990 and the Berlin House of Representatives from 1990 to 1995.

biography

Winfried Hampel studied chemistry and received his doctorate in 1962 from the Humboldt University in Berlin . He then continued to work in research.

Hampel had been a member of the LDPD since 1970. After the political change in the GDR he joined the BFD and was elected to the district list of the FDP Köpenick in the Berlin House of Representatives in 1990. There he was budget expert for his group. Hampel was also a member of the 10th Federal Assembly in 1994 .

He later switched to the CDU and was a member of the municipal council of Ahrensfelde from 2003 until his death .
