Winfried Schittges

Winfried Schittges (born September 26, 1946 in Krefeld ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

education and profession

After graduating from primary school, Schittges attended business school and did a commercial apprenticeship. After serving in the German Navy , he studied business administration from 1969 to 1973 . In 1973 he completed his studies with a degree in business administration and immediately began to study law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn from 1973 to 1978 . From 1983 to 1986 Schittges worked in a bank. In addition, he worked as a consulting business economist until 1990.

Schittges is married and has two children.

politics

Schittges has been a member of the CDU since 1969. From 1977 to 1981 he was district chairman of the Junge Union Krefeld. From 1985 to 2012 he was chairman of the CDU district association in Krefeld. Schittges has been a member of the city council of Krefeld for his party since 1975 and was deputy parliamentary group leader of the CDU from 1984 to 2011. From May 31, 1990 to May 2017, he was a member of the state parliament of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament for the constituency of Krefeld II .
