The Wing Mountain is a 2,613-meter-high conical mountain in Coconino County in the US state of Arizona . Like the San Francisco Peaks a few kilometers northeast, it is of volcanic origin . The slopes are covered with forest, where mainly yellow pines grow . The interior of the caldera is treeless. Wing Mountain is within the Coconino National Forest .

In the area around the mountain, camping is permitted along two forest roads from the beginning of April to mid-December . In winter, if there is snow, Wing Mountain is a popular winter sports area for people from the surrounding area, especially from nearby Flagstaff . However, the operator of the systems returned his license in the summer of 2017 and dismantled the equipment. It is uncertain whether a successor will be found, as the infrastructure is considered to be inadequate, the area is no longer considered snow-reliable and the use of snow cannons is not permitted.
