Wingdom was a Finnish power and progressive metal band from Viitasaari , which was founded in 1998 and split up in 2007.
history
The band was founded in 1998 by keyboardist Mikko Härkin (ex- Sonata Arctica ) and guitarist Jukka Ruotsalainen. A short time later, singer Sami Asp, drummer Markus Niemispelto and bassist Alessandro Lotta (ex- Rhapsody of Fire ) joined and completed the line-up. After a first demo was released in 2002, the recording of their debut album began. During the recording, Timo Kotipelto became aware of the band and signed them to his label High and Loud Records . The album was released in 2005 under the name Reality . The album was re-released on Dockyard 1 in 2007 . In autumn 2005, Alessandro Lotta was replaced by Jarno Raitio. In autumn 2006 keyboardist Härkin left the band. In 2007 the band broke up.

The band played progressive power metal, with the keyboard mostly giving the lead role in the songs.
