The Wings Simulations GmbH was a German development studio for computer games , which in 1996 in Hattingen , North Rhine-Westphalia was established.

history

The founders of the studio were Teut Weidemann and Heiko Schröder . With the game Panzer Elite , a historical tank simulation released in 1999, the team was able to gain a good reputation in the industry.

Wings joined the JoWooD group in May 2000 and developed the tactical shooter Mercenary - Secret Wars , as well as its add-on Marine Corps .

The studio was closed by JoWooD at the beginning of 2005 due to considerable financial difficulties - together with all other JoWooD studios.

The in pre-production located Panzer Elite online could not be completed by the financial situation of JoWood AG.
