Winnacker-Küchler: Chemical technology

Der Winnacker-Küchler: Chemical technology is a manual for chemical technology . The current 5th edition (2006) comprises nine volumes with a total of over 9,000 pages with around 5,000 figures and tables. It is a typical multi-author work on which over 200 authors from universities and industry have worked. It is named after Karl Winnacker (born September 1, 1903 in Barmen; † June 5, 1989 in Königstein) and Leopold Küchler (1910–1984), who oversaw several editions as editors .

The first edition from 1950 to 1954 comprised five volumes.

construction

The Winnacker-Küchler is not a classic encyclopedia , but, like the Makropedia and the Ullmann, consists of a relatively small number of main articles, some of which have three-digit page numbers. It is one of the few chemistry manuals that still appears in German.
