Winston Tubman

Winston Tubman (* 1941 ) is a Liberian politician and diplomat .

Life

Tubman is the nephew of former Liberian President William S. Tubman . He studied law at the London School of Economics , the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and Harvard University in the United States. In 1968, Tubman founded his own law firm in Liberia and became an advisor to the Liberian Ministry of Planning and Economic Relations during his uncle's reign.

From 1979 to 1981 Tubman was Liberia's permanent representative to the United Nations . Under the President Samuel K. Doe he served from 1982 to 1983 Minister of Justice of his country. Tubman is chairman of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) party.
