Economy and Society (magazine)
Economy and Society is the name of the economic policy journal of the Vienna Chamber of Labor, founded in 1975 .
The quarterly journal is edited by the Department of Economics and Statistics of the Vienna AK. It comprises around 600 pages of text per year and is devoted to questions of Austrian and international economic policy and economic theory . In accordance with the programmatic title of the journal, it also covers areas such as economic history , sociology , social policy and political science . With regard to the method of presentation, an attempt is made to build a bridge between theory and practice and to address readers who are interested in the subject without special mathematical knowledge.
At the beginning of each issue there is an editorial with current references. Four to five main articles are supplemented by numerous and in some cases very detailed reviews of recent specialist literature.
