The Katowice University of Economics , in Polish Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Katowicach , international University of Economics in Katowice (until October 1, 2010 as Akademia Ekonomiczna im. Karola Adamieckiego w Katowicach ) was established in 1937 in Katowice as a private university "Wyższe Studium Nauk Społeczno-Gospodar" ( German University of Social and Economic Sciences ).
