The Poznań University of Economics (in Polish Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Poznaniu , international Poznań University of Economics and Business ) is a University of Economics in Poland . The main university campus is in Poznan .

It is the largest and oldest business university in the Greater Poland region . Poznan University of Economics is one of the leading universities of economics in Poland in terms of enrollment as well as scientific and academic potential.

The origins of the university go back to 1926, when the foundation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry established the Handelskolleg. As a private school, it had no authority to issue degrees. The school was approved in 1938, and in the same year it was promoted to a commercial college.

Maciej Żukowski has been the university's rector since 2016 (as of 2018).
