Wish is a manga by the Mangaka Miku Nekoi , which belongs to the Japanese group of artists CLAMP . This series is to be assigned to the genre of Shōjomangas .

On his way home, the young, melancholy surgeon Shuichiro meets a small figure who is attacked by a crow. After shooing the bird away, the little creature turns out to be an angel named Kohaku. Since Shuichiro is not interested in a free wish, the heavenly being accompanies him to his apartment to help him in everyday life.

The real reason why Kohaku appeared on earth is the strange disappearance of Hisui, the main angel of the winds, which the little angel wants to enlighten. In Japan, the manga appeared for the first time in the June issue of the comic magazine Monthly Asuka Mystery DX in 1996. From 1996 to 1997, the completed manga was published in four volumes by the Kōdansha- Verlag. In America, Wish was first published by Tokyopop in 1997 . The manga was imported from America to Australia . In Germany the series was first published from 1999 to 2000 by Carlsen Verlag . There are also translations into French, Spanish and Polish.

In Japan, a Wish gift box appeared that contained some merchandise . There was also a short music video for the manga. There is a separate art book for this series. Individual works of art can also be found in general CLAMP art books.
