The Wissenschaftliche Verlag Berlin (wvb) is a specialist publisher based in Berlin .

The publisher is a member of the German Book Trade Association .

history

The publishing house has been active in the field of publishing doctoral theses, habilitation theses and other research work since 1996. Since it was founded, it has been headed by the two historians, Olaf Gaudig and Peter Veit. The publishing house focuses on the following areas: history, art and cultural studies, political, social and behavioral sciences, administrative, geo and planning sciences as well as economics and law.

Several specialist journals and various academic book series appear in the wvb , including:

  • German-Latin American research (DLF, since 2006)
  • Development research. Contributions to interdisciplinary studies in countries of the South (since 2007)
  • Series of publications by the Department of Landscape Architecture Regional Open Spaces at the Technical University of Munich (2006–2009)

  • Macrological nodes (since 2010)
  • Writings on jurisprudence (since 1999, first in the predecessor Wissenschaftlicher Verlag Berlin Gaudig & Veit)
