Witold Wedecki

Witold Wedecki (born November 30, 1944 in Vilnius ) is a Polish prose writer .

Life

Wedecki and his family were deported to Siberia by the Soviet powers during the Second World War . He attended the cadet school in Baku . At the end of the 1950s, he and his mother moved to Silesia as part of the resettlement , where he settled in Gliwice . After graduating from high school, he began studying architecture at Politechnika Śląska , which he completed with a diploma. In the following years he worked as an architect. As a writer he made his debut in 1965 with the poem Martwa natura , which was published in the weekly magazine Odgłosy . From 1986 to 1989 he published some short stories in the weekly magazine Tak i nie . In 1996 he published his first novel.

He lives in Gliwice.
